Reminders for the Season
On behalf of the Board and management of Goose Valley Residential Estate, we extend a warm welcome to all our homeowners who will be arriving soon for the holiday season. May your visit be enjoyable and free of negative incidents?
Goose Valley has many permanent residents, as well as many homeowners from all over South Africa and from overseas, who come to their Units for an extended holiday and a well-earned rest during our summer season. Naturally, this calls for general consideration of all residents and visitors for each other, especially when Goose Valley is fully booked.
Our Estate Rules and Regulations are extensive, therefore we have extracted various key rules which will assist you in co-operating.
- No parking on grassed areas, or roadways, without the prior consent of Management. Extra vehicles to be parked at the tennis courts or clubhouse.
- Motorised vehicles, scramblers, quad-bikes, golf carts, etc. may only be driven within the estate grounds by persons with a valid driver’s licence. Our roads are very narrow, so please drive carefully, be aware of children and animals, and keep off our gardens.
- Bicycles, skate-boards, scooters, quad bikes, etc. are not allowed on golf-cart paths.
- The speed limit is restricted to 30 km, throughout the estate.
- Motorcycles or vehicles with noisy exhaust systems are prohibited
- Terraces entrances to units are to be kept CLEAR of buckets, mops, fishing rods, wet washing, etc. Braais, patio furniture to be stored neatly on the patio. (Laundry to be hung on a clothes-horse, on patio.)
- Under no circumstances may fire hoses be used for any activity other than putting out fires.
- NOISE MUST BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM BETWEEN 23H00 AND 08H00.
- OVER-CROWDING:
- 2-bedroom units = max 6 persons (4 adults plus 2 children under 12)
- 3-bedroom units = max 8 persons (6 adults plus 2 children under 12)
- Any faults or defects in the interior of the unit must be reported to the owner/ agent, and NOT to Management. Only defects related to common property will be attended to by Management.
- Keep off the golf course. No practicing or chipping on grassed areas around units. Any equipment or toys will be confiscated.
- The feeding of all wild birds is prohibited (e.g. seagulls; Guinea-fowl)
- The discharge of fireworks has been prohibited by Municipal by-law and the discharge of a firearm in a residential area has been outlawed, therefore criminal charges will be instituted in all cases.
- No person is allowed to enter the enclosure and/or swim in the POOL
- between 20h00 and 06h00. Keep the noise at the pool down.
- All persons using the pool area are to refrain from any form of objectionable behaviour; use of bad language; throwing into the pool any objects likely to be armful to other bathers.
- SECURITY: No resident may issue instructions to security personnel. The security guards are doing a difficult job. They may not, under anycircumstances, be abused. ACCESS TAGS may not be utilized by anyone other than the Home Owner and registered user, nor may they be loaned to other persons.
- RECEPTION HOURS:
- Monday to Friday - 07h30 to 16h30
- Saturday - 08h30 to 11h30
- Please note: Reception does not arrange for cleaners and is not a drop-off point for keys, parcels, laundry. Please contact your letting agent.
WARNING:
Disregard for and continuous breach of the rules will invoke clause 21.9 pf the Memorandum of Incorporation. A fine of up to R1000.00 will be enforced. This will be a debt due by the member of the Association and will be recovered by the ordinary levy process.
From the 16 December 2015 to 8 January 2016 we will have a swimming pool attendant monitoring the activities at the pool and an estate marshal patrolling the estate.
